Who We Are
Shay & Company is a woman-owned small business. Susan is the proprietress, with over 23 years of skincare experience and 10 years owning small businesses. She is committed to creating a supportive work environment for her incredible team — ensuring they all have living wages, retirement benefits, health care, and paid vacations. She believes that well-cared-for employees make for a healthy business, and that top quality ingredients should be handled by a top quality team.
Our focus is on the ingredient, to ensure you have consistency for your formulas. Once we have vetted a manufacturer, we stick with that manufacturer. This ensures the product delivered to you each time is the same, regardless of batch. This can mean the price is not always the cheapest on the market, but it does mean the product always has the same level of excellence for your formulations.
Come Visit Us
We have a retail shop at our Oregon warehouse where you can see all our beauty, soap, and candle making supplies. Walk-ins are welcome — if you live locally or are passing through, stop by!
We have a table with samples of all our essential oils and fragrances for you to test. Come on down and smell all the smells!
For larger items (5 gallons+), please place will-call orders through the website or by email. We turn around will-call orders within 24 hours and email you when ready. No shipping charge for will-call.
Excellent Quality at the Best Possible Pricing — All The Time
It is our goal to provide the highest quality ingredients at the best possible pricing all the time. We don't have free shipping, discount codes, or sales. We give you competitive pricing all the time.
We understand that shipping is painful. We charge you what UPS charges us — it's all based on weight and delivery zip code. If you have a small order that might ship via USPS, please call us and we can see if we can save you money. If you live in Hawaii or Alaska, email us with your full order and shipping address and we will get you a quote.
We partner with Honolulu Freight for Hawaii orders over 200 pounds — pallet delivery at a cost much less than UPS. For under 200 pounds, call us and we'll ship via USPS. We do our best to find the most reasonable solutions.
What We Specialize In
We carry organic and conventional wholesale plant oils, melt & pour (glycerin) soap bases, exotic organic and conventional plant butters, bath crystals, an extensive selection of pure therapeutic-grade essential oils, high-end fragrances, candle making supplies, soap making supplies, packaging, and more.
Our essential oils are 100% pure, no fillers, from distillers with 50+ years in the industry. Our fragrances never contain parabens, phthalates, or other harmful chemicals — and we include full disclosure documents for each.
We also carry raw materials for the CBD distilling and vaping industries: organic coconut oil, MCT oil, propylene glycol, and glycerin.

About the Team
Small but mighty — every one of us is here because of you.
Susan has been in the skincare industry for over 20 years. She was the Director of Operations for a private label skincare company — which is why we carry many of the ingredients we do. Susan loves organic and plant powered ingredients and is very passionate about quality. If she doesn't use it, she won't sell it. She has a lifetime passion for weightlifting and fitness, and three beautiful grandchildren she loves seeing.
Aris rocks! Literally — his side gig is as a drummer in an almost famous band. He's our speed wizard and can whip out orders large and small in no time. He loves to organise, loves music of all kinds, and is a loyal fan of the Trailblazers, even when they don't rock.
Kyle keeps all of your orders flowing out the door. A born-and-raised Ohio boy with a deep love/hate relationship with the state's sports teams, he got a Film Theory degree from the University of Montana where he fell in love with the forests of the NW.
Julian keeps all of our products filled to your specifications. A very rare Portland native! He was a football star in high school at Park Rose High, now uses those skills to ref youth basketball. He has a secret passion for designing clothing and wants to do that full time someday.
Dori supports customer service using a project-based framework from her time in public and outdoor education. Her unique problem-solving approach helps personalise the customer experience. Outside work you'll find her hiking a PNW forest trail, enjoying a meal with family, or curled up with a book and a dog.
Ashley answers your calls and greets you at our storefront, keeping the office running efficiently while maintaining customer satisfaction. She has a pup named Stella she loves dearly and enjoys walks around the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

- Follow to Monroe Ave, turn RIGHT (west).
- At stop sign turn RIGHT (north) on Fuller Rd.
- Shay and Company is the white building on the LEFT.
From I-205 heading North
- Take the Sunnyside Exit and go left past 82nd Ave (Sunnyside becomes Harmony Ave).
- At the 1st light past 82nd Ave (Fuller Ave), turn RIGHT (north).
- Stay on Fuller Avenue about 1 mile to building 10639 on the LEFT.
