Ethylhexyl Palmitate is a naturally derived ingredient, ideal for use in products designed to increase moisture, even and smooth out skin tone, and help with dry, damaged hair. Ethylhexyl Palmitate can help disperse powder ingredients into emulsified products (such as zinc or titanium in sunscreens). Ethylhexyl Palmitate also helps to stabilize oil/water emulsions, giving them good glide and skin feel, while also helping to retain moisture on the skin and hair.

Ethylhexyl palmitate produced by reacting fractionated fatty acids (mainly palmitic acid) derived from non-GMO palm-based oil with 2-ethylhexyl alcohol.

Ethylhexyl Palmitate is ideal for dry skin products. Ethylhexyl Palmitate work to retain moisture on the top layer of the epidermis, so products such as body butters, lotions and creams moisturize better, and skin will retain that hydrated appearance.

Ethylhexyl palmitate can work as an alternative to silicones. This makes it an excellent addition to hair care formulas. If youΓÇÖre creating either liquid or bar shampoos and conditioners, ethylhexyl palmitate can help smooth the hair, reducing frizz, and creating a better feel when used on the hair.

When used in body care products, ethylhexyl palmitate is an emollient ester that gives great richness to the feel of your product. Consider including this is body lotions and creams, but also in foot scrubs, bath soaks, body oils, facial serums, eye creams, facial cleansing creams, and more. This is a great alternative to mineral oil.

Short Term Storage: Air tight container. Dark location. Cool room temperature.

Long Term Storage: Removing air from storage container will delay oxidation and rancidity (may need to place in a smaller container). Refrigeration can extend shelf life.
